Cpl Healthcare is collaborating with a well-established client to recruit an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a Nursing Home located in Carna, Co. Galway. This facility comprises 51 beds for nursing care along with assisted living services.

As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing the day-to-day clinical and operational aspects of the nursing home. Your responsibilities include maintaining a high standard of evidence-based care in compliance with HIQA regulations (2024), company policies, and national standards. The role involves active participation in quality improvement, governance, compliance, staff management, and promoting resident well-being.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in nursing management within a nursing home or similar aged care environment
- Proficiency in HIQA Standards, the National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People in Ireland, and relevant legislation
- Desirable qualifications include leadership training and/or a management qualification (e.g., QQI Level 6 in Management) along with a postgraduate qualification in nursing leadership.
