The hotel comprises 213 luxurious guestrooms and suites and 6 four-bedroom villas with private pools, all furnished to the highest standards in a modern Arabic style. To meet the needs of long-staying guests, the hotel offers 161 fully-furnished spacious serviced apartments ranging from studios to four-bedroom units. The hotel is located within the acclaimed Qaryat Al Beri complex, on a one-kilometre stretch of private beach overlooking the strait that separates Abu Dhabi Island from the mainland. The hotel is conveniently located next to a souk, offering a variety of shops under one roof. It is only a ten-minute drive from the city's international airport, five minutes from the golf course and the Convention Centre, and 15 minutes from the Corniche and the city centre.
DUTIES
As a Assistant Director of Food & Beverage you are responsible for the short and long term planning and the management of the food & beverage operations in the front and back of house to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting / exceeding financial goals. The role involves managing and achieving of profit and quality for all food & beverage operations in the hotel, including restaurants, catering and banquet operations, and will include key responsibilities such as:
Maintain standards of food & beverage quality and guest service quality
Establish a yearly promotion and menu plan for Restaurants and monitors implementation
Prepare P&L analysis of all promotions
Establish a festive season calendar & yearly entertainment concept
Plan and executes special projects
Reviews financial reports and statements to determine how Food and Beverage is performing against budget
Control food and beverage costs to maximize profits
Assist in preparation of F&B budget & preparation of monthly forecast
Assist in preparation of F&B Capex Plan
Build up and maintain rapport with suppliers,ensure suppliers provide top quality products
Assist Director of Food & Beverage monitor sponsorship and consignment
Liaise and attends promotional activities directed towards the press to introduce new menus and restaurants
Provide PR with information needed for mailing, advertising, direct mail and press releases
Monitor productivity performance as shown in monthly productivity reports and reviews with appropriate department heads
Involve in recruiting food & beverage leadership team members who demonstrate strong food & beverage background, creativity and entrepreneurial leadership to meet the business needs of the operation
Review appraisals of key department staff
Establish comprehensive training plan on annual basis with Human Resources &Coordinate various training and employee development plans with Human Resources and Director of Food and Beverage
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years experience as a Food & Beverage Manager position within a 5* hotel
Degree/Diploma in hotel management
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Proven experience handling busy operations
Good computer skills MS Office and Micros system
