Assistant Construction Manager (Landscape)**

**Qatar**

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Monitors the major field construction activities for assigned construction packages for compliance with schedule and works with contractors to develop mitigation measures to control schedule when slippage is determined.

+ Works with the construction supervision team to monitor the timely responses to RFIs, processing of change orders, and method statement approvals.

+ Maintains awareness of possible problem areas and works to implement preventative actions to manage meeting critical milestones for each phase of the project.

+ Supports monitoring and compliance of the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other approved documents by the construction contractor.

+ Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for Construction Manager.

+ Supports the Construction Manager in maintaining strong client and community relations.

+ Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the construction project.

+ Coordinates RFI responses, monitors change orders, and in conjunction with the Construction Manager makes recommendations for construction progress payments.

+ Performs other services in support of the Construction Manager

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture/ Architectural Engineering/Civil Engineering.

+ Required Experience: 12+ years' experience on large landscape projects involving design and construction works with knowledge of codes, design & supervision of plant material, irrigation systems, outdoor lighting and hardscape/softscape features.

+ PMP certified and Qatar experience is preferred.

+ Ability to interpret complex contract documents including plans, specifications, and shop drawings.

+ Ability to make recommendations on engineering problems, and review drawings, specifications, and installations for constructability.

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Experience in arid terrain and the suitability of plant material.

+ Experience in urban design & supervision including high-end commercial landscapes.

+ Experience in preparation of reports and submissions with conceptual elements.

+ Advanced proficiency in relevant software including Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word,

+ Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and contemporary digital imagery software.

+ Demonstrated ability to collect data to brief Client on project issues and provide possible resolutions in addition to reviewing and drafting responses to correspondence.
