The College of Dentistry, Ajman University, has an opening for the position of Associate/Assistant and Professor in General Biology, starting Spring Semester 2025-2026

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field from a reputable university. At least 3 years of experience with a Master's degree in the field. Outstanding teaching record, particularly in General Biology and related fields. Proven research and publication record in top journals. Experience in supervising student projects and thesis dissertations. Collaborative and interdisciplinary research experience is an advantage. Strong record in community service and scholarly activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver courses in General Biology, Oral Histology, General Pathology, and other related subjects. Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to foster student success. Organize and manage instructional resources and course materials. Conduct high-quality research in General Biology and publish findings in reputable journals and conferences. Ensure a culturally sensitive and respectful learning environment. Foster effective working relationships across the department and university community. Motivate and inspire students and colleagues to achieve their academic goals. Seek and implement best practices to meet course objectives and learning outcomes. Maintain professional relationships with students to support their academic growth.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written. Familiarity with the "Credit Hour" academic system. Ability to supervise student work and provide academic guidance. Capability to conduct independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Experience working with diverse teams. Knowledge of academic program planning and implementation. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational software. * Ability to contribute to college activities, including serving on various committees.
