Job Description
The Junior Accountant will be primarily responsible for handling routine banking and accounting activities. The role requires a keen attention to detail, basic understanding of accounting principles, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Banking Activities: Handle routine banking tasks including cash deposits, cash disbursements, fund transfers, and monitoring daily bank balances. Receivables & Expenses: Maintain accounts receivables and records of expenses. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory and ensure correct items are in stock. Monitor and maintain current inventory levels; perform physical counts and reconcile with reports. Record Maintenance: Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts. Investigate discrepancies between stock and records. Reporting: Prepare and file financial inventory reports; occasionally assist with month-end close processes. VAT & Taxes: Assist with VAT return filings and basic tax report preparation. Financial Information: Assist in providing financial information to the team by maintaining and analyzing accounting data. Entry Management: Prepare basic asset, liability, and other account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Payment Preparation: Verify documentation and assist in preparing payments. Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to established internal controls related to junior-level tasks. Qualifications:
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounting software like XERO .
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a structured manner.
- Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
