Assistant Accountant

Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team in the lighting industry. The successful candidate will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial records and assist with financial analysis. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
- Ensure accuracy of financial records by reconciling bank statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain financial records and assist in the preparation of financial reports \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Analyze and interpret financial data to support decision making
- Prepare tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support during external audits
- Perform other related duties as required
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the lighting industry
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Muscat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
