We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage daily accounting operations for our retail stores Book Corner & Funzone. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE
VAT
,
Corporate Tax
, and standard accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, general ledger).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.
Handle VAT calculations, returns filing, and compliance as per FTA guidelines.
Manage UAE Corporate Tax compliance, record-keeping, and filing.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and petty cash.
Monitor inventory costing, stock adjustments, and purchase entries.
Maintain timely and accurate records of sales, expenses, and supplier payments.
Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and management.
Prepare payroll, leave salary, and end-of-service calculations.
Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Ensure all accounting data is filed securely and updated regularly.
Generate periodic reports for management decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
Minimum 2-3 years accounting experience in UAE (retail experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of
UAE VAT
and
Corporate Tax
regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.).
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
