We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, maintain financial records, and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded and processed. Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets. Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries. Process invoices, payments, and receipts in accordance with company policies. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare tax returns, filings, and assist with audits. Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Provide support in payroll processing and benefits administration. Assist senior accountants with various financial tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar role is preferred. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA or ACCA certification (or working toward certification) is a plus. Previous experience with tax filings and audits. Knowledge of financial regulations and industry standards.
