We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Assistant Accountant
to support the finance department with daily accounting tasks. The role involves assisting with bookkeeping, preparing financial records, handling petty cash, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end processes in compliance with UAE accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
Assist in the preparation of invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Handle petty cash and maintain proper records.
Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist in VAT filing.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and records.
Perform other administrative and finance-related duties as assigned.
Managing basic office administrative tasks including filing, printing, reporting and emailing.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-3 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and accounting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally Prime or similar) and MS Excel.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills in English, Hindi
Ability to commute/relocate:
Ajman: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
