Job Description

The Asset Performance Engineer will be responsible and accountable to lead and manage the Asset Performance Team, and to ensure the application of analytical and statistical expertise to analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex or ambiguous data sets and translate findings into clear and concise insights They must be able to impart their knowledge and expertise across the team to enhance skills and capabilities, and embed a structured, sustainable and cross-functional approach to data analysis that supports data-driven decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic

Lead the development of complex data modelling and analysis initiatives to enhance business capabilities and provide long-term and sustainable solutions. Lead statistical, qualitative and predictive analysis on data sources pertinent to the operational performance of assets across the Dubai Metro. Champion digital transformation, including digital processes, IoT and integrated data to support condition-based and predictive maintenance regimes. Lead strategic analysis designed to optimise lifecycle strategies and support data-driven decision-making informed by asset condition, criticality and cost. Development of data and analytics documentation, including management procedures, policies and strategies to maintain integrity and provide guidelines to be followed. Ensure alignment with Keolis MHI and RTA long-term goals and strategies and translating business objectives into data strategies and deliverables. Lead the development of complex data and analysis related initiatives to further enhance business capabilities through long-term and sustainable solutions. Promote a data-driven organisation and empower teams with automated and intuitive dashboards and visualisations. Champion organisational change related to data practices, systems adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive data-related improvements and developments to fulfil requirements in line with wider asset management strategies, maintenance philosophies and integration opportunities. Fulfilment of committed obligations in line with good asset management practices to realise value and potential.

Financial

Provide recommendations and proposals for business investment in data-related tools or systems to further optimise and enhance business capabilities. Support to provide data-driven recommendations and justifications for asset or technology investment, renewal, and divestment decisions based on value, risk, performance analysis or ROI. Identify and highlight financial risks related to asset degradation, underinvestment, over-maintenance or obsolescence using data insights. Support to drive decisions based on whole-of-life cost analysis to enable effective trade-off decisions between capital, operational, and maintenance expenditure. Identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings in line with strategic objectives. Embed a commercial mindset and wider understanding of financial risks and impact across within the asset performance team.

Stakeholder / Customer

Develop strong working relationships across business departments to understand challenges and opportunities where data can support business decisions. Present findings and recommendations to the business based on data analysis and modelling. Provide guidance and training to internal and external data stakeholders to build competency, encourage adoption, and maximise value. Obtain and gather user feedback and inputs on data-related topics to incorporate where necessary as continuous improvement. Act as the primary liaison for data related initiatives, communicating goals, updates, and benefits across stakeholder groups to ensure understanding and buy-in. Cultivate strong working relationships with external stakeholders, including the client and wider Keolis subsidiaries, to support data-related knowledge learning and sharing.

Operational

Oversee cyclical and adhoc data and analysis requirements. Analyse asset performance to identify emerging or key trends, and coordinate with stakeholders to develop appropriate action plans. Production and delivery of cyclical and contractual reporting requirements in line with contractual timescales. Management and development of key documents and procedures, including data management plans, work instructions and training materials. Proactively review and monitor KPIs to ensure adherence and highlight deviations to support corrective action. Proactive and routine data reviews and assessments to identify gaps, shortcomings or inefficiencies in quality and propose solutions. Perform statistical, qualitative and predictive analysis on data sources, incorporating benchmarking against international standards. Perform and carry out ad-hoc analysis and other duties as instructed by management.

Capability/People

Line management of a team of Asset Performance Analysts, including objective setting, reviews, and training needs. Build data related capabilities through development of training materials, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing sessions across departments. Drive data awareness and competence through development of materials or resources. Provide technical leadership and guidance, including best practices in data analysis and modelling. Fostering open and honest workplace culture to drive collaborative working relationships across functions and departments.

Dimensions

Scope of work covers analysis of data across the entire Dubai Metro system. Direct reports include a team of Asset Performance Analysts, with responsibility for guiding their work and development. Office environment. Site inspections and visits will be required
