Job description
The Asset Management Expert is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and developing solutions for maintaining and preserving railway assets. The Railway Asset Management Expert works with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure smooth asset handover and that railway assets are efficient, safe, and cost-effective. This role entails a high degree of technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to ensure the optimal performance and functionality of all railway assets.
Responsibilities:
Primary focus:
Prepare asset handovers to ensure completeness and smoot transfer
Work with projects and operators teams to facilitate asset handovers
Secondary focus:
Develop and maintain strategies for managing railway assets
Analyze and evaluate existing railway assets
Ensure railway assets are operating efficiently and safely
Work with engineering teams to design and implement asset management plans
Monitor the performance of railway assets and recommend and execute improvements
Monitor progress of changes and implementations on railway assets
Provide technical support for railway asset management software and hardware
Research and evaluate industry trends and best practices for asset management
Develop and maintain project plans and timelines for asset management implementations
Analyze data to identify opportunities for asset management improvements
Develop strategies for managing any unexpected disruption or interruption that affects railway assets.
Profile
Experienced in rail transport infrastructure assets operations and maintenance.
Experienced with management of all types of rail assets - structures, track, switches, signals, rolling stock, freight facilities, materials handling facilities, tunnel mechanical equipment, etc.
Experienced with asset management software.
Tertiary or trade qualifications in an appropriate discipline.
Minimum 15 years relevant experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to create a long-term relationship of trust with partners, clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
