Job Description

The Asset Controller is responsible for the central tracking, auditing, and management of all physical assets under the control of the private engineering office, including tools, machinery, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings used in palace and other related operations. This role ensures accurate asset records, prevents loss or misuse, and maintains alignment with internal policies, vendor specifications, and UAE regulations.

The position plays a critical role in asset lifecycle management, coordinating closely with procurement, maintenance, scrap and compliance teams to support budget accuracy, accountability, and operational continuity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Diploma, Degree or Certification in Logistics, Asset Management, Business Administration, or Engineering. Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) National Police Clearance (Mandatory) Familiarity with asset management software Valid Driver's License Familiar with barcode, RFID, or QR-based inventory systems

EXPERIENCE

:

3-5 years of experience in asset control, inventory management, or logistics, preferably in a construction, engineering, or a private estate setting. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and inventory control software. Familiarity with asset management software (e.g., SAP, Maximo, or custom ERP) Good understanding of audit principles, asset depreciation, and loss prevention practices Comfortable with cloud-based tools for asset logging, dashboard generation, and cross-departmental updates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Asset Tracking & Inventory Control: Maintaining a detailed record of all assets, including location, condition, and usage history. Lifecycle Management: Managing assets from acquisition to disposal, ensuring they are used effectively throughout their lifespan. Regulatory & Compliance Adherence: Ensuring assets meet legal and industry standards for safety and functionality. Waste Management and Disposal: Handles dead assets, recyclable waste asset & defective items responsibly, ensuring proper disposal and responsible selling or recycling in coordination with warehousing team. Proficient in using digital tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Maximo) to maintain accurate asset records, tag items, and monitor movement across departments. Understands asset control protocols, supports internal audits, and ensures compliance with UAE regulations and internal policies. Skilled in managing the full lifecycle of assets -- from receipt and tagging to servicing, depreciation, and disposal planning. Strong in generating detailed asset reports, tracking usage logs, and maintaining up-to-date documentation for inspections and reviews. Works closely with Procurement, Maintenance, Fleet, and Admin to verify asset status, movement, and condition across sites. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain asset integrity.
