Job Title ASIC Computer Repair Technician

Description

A fantastic opportunity is waiting for a well experienced ASIC Maintenance Technician to work for one of the largest technology company with operation in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the Company's ASIC miners. This will include working with the onsite data center team to troubleshoot miner repairs. Your other responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Hashboard repair, diagnostics and troubleshooting, soldering of equipment, replacement of ASIC miner parts and components, and other complex work.

• Follow manufacture repair procedures to diagnose equipment and replace or repair defective parts.

• Conduct visual mechanical inspection (VMI) of units, components (hashboards, etc.) and/or subcomponents.

• Conduct tests on digital and analog circuits using assorted test equipment (i.e. oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, digital multimeter, soldering machine, SMD rework station, computerized circuit analyzer, Rf Meter) technical databases and electronic schematic diagram to isolate and troubleshoot printed circuit board malfunctions to the component level.

• Uses light tools, hand tools, and electronic test and repair equipment to repair All types of Electronic circuit boards

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of computer service experience in a fast-paced business environment with customer facing focus.

• Willingness and ability to follow guidance from other staff members as well as management.

• Must obtain BitMain Ant Training Academy certification within six months

• Attend any other required training -Soldering/De-soldering skills preferred

• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Associates Degree in Computer Science and or 2+ years' experience PC level help desk and repair.
