, you will oversee the hot kitchen, particularly focusing on wok preparation and high-heat cooking. This role requires technical mastery of Asian cuisine, strong leadership, and a commitment to fine dining standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the
Wok & Hot Section
in executing high-quality, authentic Asian dishes with speed and precision.
Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure excellence in food quality, taste, and presentation.
Work closely with the Executive Chef in developing new menu items, seasonal specials, and signature plates.
Train and mentor junior chefs on wok handling, sauce building, and Asian culinary fundamentals.
Monitor mise en place, kitchen cleanliness, and station readiness before and during service.
Ensure compliance with Qatar's food safety standards and HACCP protocols.
Manage inventory, portion control, and waste reduction to support food cost targets.
Requirements
Female candidates only, preferably of
Asian nationality
Minimum 5 years' experience in Asian cuisine, including at least 2 years in a
Sous Chef or CDP
role in a fine dining setting.
Expertise in
Wok cooking, stir-fry techniques, sauce making, and hot section operations
.
Culinary degree or professional kitchen training is highly preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Fluent in English; other Asian languages are a plus.
HACCP certification or knowledge of food safety regulations.
Transferable visa and valid QID (preferred for candidates already in Qatar).
