Job Description
An art teacher is required to provide art instruction to students, with the aim of creating an interest in the subject amongst students and assisting them to express themselves through the medium of art. Job duties:
- Extensive understanding of various forms of art, enjoy imparting your knowledge and are eager to encourage creativity and expression amongst youngsters, a job as an art teacher might be ideal for you.
- Class planning and suitable assignments according to course requirements.
- Explain various elements of art.
- Introduce techniques and procedures for painting, sketching, designing and sculpting.
- Impart knowledge on the history of art, illustration and professional art
- Encourage students to develop personal styles and express themselves though the medium of art.
- Evaluate assignments \xe2\x80\x93 make observations and provide constructive criticism.
- Organize field trips to museums and art galleries.
- Maintain records of student performance and grade them.
- Counsel students and parents as required.
- Plan contests and organize exhibitions.
- Substantial knowledge and interest in various art forms and the history of their development.
- Good teaching skills, which make classes interesting for students and encourage them to participate.
- Patience and approachability so that students feel comfortable to express themselves freely.
- Diversified knowledge of various art forms, such as digital arts, photography, printmaking, cinematography, calligraphy, jewelry designing and fashion designing may also be beneficial.
- A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or similar qualification with a major or minor in art is essential. A specialization in fine arts, visual arts or studio arts is beneficial.
- Experience of at least 2 year is generally preferred.
- Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)
- Dubai (Required)
- Dubai: Relocate before starting work (Required)
