The Role of Area Director, Revenue Management - EMEA:

We currently have an opportunity for an Area Director, Revenue Management \xe2\x80\x93 EMEA, to join our Four Seasons Corporate Office team in Dubai!

This role reports to the Senior Director of Revenue Optimization and will be our area leader and culture carrier for revenue management and distribution operations for regional and hotel stakeholders.

You will be responsible for providing guidance and direction for rooms, function space, restaurant, and spa demand forecasting and analysis, pricing, distribution channel optimization, cost of sales strategy, and performance analysis to hotel leadership.

You will support our Vice President Commercial EMEA and will actively participate in establishing hotel revenue and distribution strategies and performance goals. You will implement global revenue management and distribution strategies, standards, and training initiatives in the region. You will help drive performance in the region by collaborating with other regional commercial resources.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the hotel revenue management program for the region, providing guidance and support for hotels that delivers an industry-leading revenue management and distribution program supporting room revenue, catering and function space, spa, residential, and restaurants which aligns with regional goals and global strategies
  • Leading the distribution marketing and operations program for the region providing guidance and support for hotels to maximize channel performance
  • Supporting cost of sale optimization for the region providing recommendations to maximize profit through improved cost of sale
  • Developing and leading a consolidated revenue management team and approach to provide for the most effective delivery of revenue management and distribution support across properties
  • Supporting hotel level Revenue Management talent acquisition and retention
  • Collaborating with regional commercial, finance, food and beverage, and operations senior leadership to ensure alignment and support for revenue management and distribution strategy and direction. Ensuring the implementation of highly effective revenue management and distribution activities and strategies across all hotels
  • Engaging with ownership around performance analysis impacting demand, pricing, channel optimization, and cost of sales as required
  • Leading regional revenue management and business analysis
  • Supporting hotel growth initiatives
  • Collaborating with the global analytics, revenue management, distribution, and marketing team to identify global and regional opportunities and sharing best practices system-wide
Our Ideal Area Director, Revenue Management - EMEA candidate will have:

A degree in Marketing, Revenue Management, Hospitality, or Operations Research and have previous experience in multi-property revenue management and distribution, ideally in a regional/corporate revenue management role. You should have 5 \xe2\x80\x93 7 years of responsibility for regional revenue management and/or distribution, leading and building teams, and influencing stakeholders in highly diverse matrixed organizations.

A consummate team player with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and use good judgment. Strong leadership skills, respectful of others and always demonstrating integrity, great interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence enabling you to lead a geographically disparate team of co-workers, consultants, and agencies that do not have a direct reporting relationship, and with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple work streams.

We are seeking talent with experience in developing revenue management and distribution strategy, a strong overall business perspective that extends beyond revenue management, a combination of strategic and strong tactical execution, team leadership experience, excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, and keen attention to detail.

This position requires excellent technical knowledge of revenue management systems and capabilities and a strong understanding of distribution systems supporting GDS, OTA, and other interfaces.
