THE OPPORTUNITY
The Area Commercial QA Manager for Abbott Nutrition is responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives, global quality projects, compliance initiatives, and risk assessments and remediation activities involving various areas under scope of responsibility, including but not limited to Global Abbott manufacturing sites, new acquisitions, commercial affiliates and supply chain.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provide strategic compliance oversight to commercial & distribution QA through direct interface with assigned country
Commercial & Distribution QA managers.
Act as QA subject matter expert for assigned affiliates and an interface between Distribution QA and Regional Commercial
QA managers.
Provides inspection readiness support to division locations, as applicable, through the identification of compliance gaps
and risks, and participation in the remediation process.
Assess the appropriateness and timeliness of proposed CAPAs, and track CAPA follow-up to close.
Pro-actively reads and extracts developing regulations and trends from available sources to provide recent perspectives
during audits.
Ensure a proactive determination of regulatory, compliance and quality issues and integrates them into audits/assessments
on a priority basis.
Manages assigned global quality projects and compliance initiatives.
Takes lead on assigned cross-functional team projects in a structured business environment in accordance with internal
procedures and external regulations.
Ensure professional development within the team. Ensure that knowledge and experience acquired is transferred to other
team members.
Always consider efficiency and cost improvement opportunities.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 7 years experience in quality assurance
Minimum 7 years supervisory experience
Minimum 5 years experience in food manufacturing or healthcare industry
EDUCATION
15 YEARS +
