Job Description

Job Summary:
The Architecture/ID Inspector is responsible for ensuring that construction and interior design work complies with approved architectural plans, specifications, building codes, and quality standards. This role involves conducting site inspections, reviewing materials and workmanship, and coordinating with contractors, designers, and project stakeholders to ensure compliance and resolve discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspection & Compliance:

• Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify that architectural and interior design work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, ADA standards, fire safety regulations, and other applicable guidelines.
• Inspect finishes, materials, fixtures, and installations (e.g., flooring, ceilings, cabinetry, millwork, lighting) for quality and adherence to design intent.

2. Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs, non-compliance issues, and corrective action recommendations.
• Maintain records of inspections, approvals, and rejections.
• Track and report progress to project managers and stakeholders.

3. Coordination & Communication:

• Liaise with architects, interior designers, contractors, and subcontractors to address discrepancies and ensure corrective measures.
• Attend project meetings to provide updates on inspection findings and compliance status.
• Review and approve material samples, mock-ups, and shop drawings.

4. Quality Control & Problem-Solving:

• Identify defects, poor workmanship, or deviations from design specifications and recommend solutions.
• Verify that materials used meet specified standards and project requirements.
• Monitor corrective actions and follow up to ensure compliance.
