Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly skilled Design Manager with a strong structural engineering background to join our team in Jeddah, KSA. The ideal candidate must have solid technical expertise, proven experience in mega projects, and a strong track record in the GCC region. This role requires excellent interdisciplinary coordination, leadership, and communication skills. 20 years of experience in which 5 of them in KSA.
Preparing punch lists jointly with the site engineer and signing off upon rectification.
Reviewing submitted shop drawings and material submittals against drawings, specifications, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practices.
Checking and ensuring coordination between discipline-related service works and all other disciplines.
Providing technical input and experience to resolve discipline-related engineering issues on the project.
Maintaining open communication with the client and the contractor's discipline engineers on project-related issues.
Coordinating works to ensure successful project handover.
Attending technical and progress meetings with the contractor and client representatives.
Identifying issues and risks requiring escalation to senior project management as necessary.
Managing QA/QC project requirements related to the discipline.
Preparing correspondence based on subject matter expertise for issuance to the client or contractor to meet project objectives.
Reviewing as-built drawings and O&M manuals for completeness.
Acting as the primary point of contact for the Project Team Manager and senior site personnel on architectural-related project issues.
Maintaining open dialogue with relevant authorities.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envisage that you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering (Master's preferred).
Minimum 20 years of relevant experience, including work on mega projects and 5 years in KSA.
Strong knowledge of international and regional design codes and standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in design and coordination software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).
* PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
