Position Overview
The Architectural Inspector role at AECOM Dubai supports construction supervision activities by ensuring all architectural works are executed in full compliance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and UAE codes. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure all architectural works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and applicable codes
  • Liaise with the Senior Architectural Engineer, discipline engineers, and project managers to provide technical support and guidance
  • Review and monitor variations to mitigate potential time and cost impacts
  • Monitor contractor submissions and shop drawings to identify and resolve issues affecting architectural integrity or functionality
  • Ensure contractor compliance with the approved Quality Control Plan
  • Monitor inspection protocols and coordination between inspection teams on site
  • Oversee safety compliance related to architectural installations
  • Prepare progress reports covering architectural works and site activities
  • Assist in expediting NOCs and approvals from authorities, clients, and stakeholders when delays arise
  • Maintain complete site records including daily site diaries and monthly progress photographs
  • Liaise with contractor management to expedite submissions and approval processes
  • Perform and evaluate quality inspections and tests for architectural finishes and building components
  • Conduct field inspections to verify placement, quality, and workmanship of architectural elements
  • Coordinate with site teams to ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Perform architectural and material inspections in accordance with approved method statements
  • Issue NCRs and support corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure inspection reports are accurate, complete, and compliant with project requirements
  • Assist with inspection of completed works and handover activities
  • Monitor and report HSE matters and participate in safety meetings and training
  • Prepare daily logs, inspection reports, and maintain records of submittals, tests, and executed works
  • Perform all duties in line with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture or a related technical discipline
  • Proven experience in architectural site supervision or inspection roles
  • Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, materials, and construction methods
  • Familiarity with UAE building codes, authority requirements, and site inspection procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements
  • Experience issuing NCRs and managing corrective actions
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and coordination skills
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to quality and safety
