Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced

AutoCAD Draftsman

with a strong background in

structural steel

design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with

Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum

, and a solid understanding of engineering principles and detailing. A passion for precision, a collaborative attitude, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed engineering drawings by interpreting engineering sketches, specifications, and supporting documents. Proficient in

AutoCAD 2D and 3D

, with the ability to create accurate and detailed 3D models of steel structures. Ability to draw and detail structural steel frameworks and assemblies, including connections and fabrication drawings. Perform basic load calculations and structural analysis using

STAAD.Pro

or similar structural analysis software will be considered a plus. Develop layouts and multi-view drawings of components and systems, clearly depicting relationships and assembly requirements. Generate

Bill of Materials (BoM)

or

Bill of Quantities (BoQ)

based on design drawings and specifications. Coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate implementation of design and specifications. Maintain and organize a comprehensive database of drawings with regular backup protocols. Conduct occasional site visits to inspect work, ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, and support quality assurance efforts.

Requirements:

Proven experience in drafting and detailing

structural steel

projects. Proficiency in

AutoCAD 2D & 3D

; experience with other design software (e.g., Tekla, SolidWorks, Revit) is a plus. Familiarity with structural analysis tools such as

STAAD.Pro

will be a plus. Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and construction standards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and inspections.
