Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Architectural Draftsman

to join our contracting company in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction documents in line with local regulations and project specifications. A strong understanding of UAE building codes, municipality submission requirements, and coordination with site and design teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate architectural and detailed shop drawings for submission to consultants, clients, and authorities. Modify and update drawings based on instructions and mark-ups from architects and engineers. Coordinate with the site, design, and engineering teams to ensure that drawings meet project requirements. Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Municipality, etc.). Support in the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation upon project completion. Maintain and organize drawing records and files. Assist in preparing architectural layout plans, sections, elevations, and details. Ensure timely delivery of drawings and revisions in line with project timelines. Conduct site visits to verify drawings and collect data as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or Degree in Architecture or Civil Drafting. Minimum

4 years of UAE experience

in a similar role, preferably with a contracting company. Proficient in

AutoCAD

, and knowledge of

Revit

,

SketchUp

, or

3D modeling

software is a plus. Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, authority regulations, and standard practices. Familiarity with documentation processes for municipality submissions. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

Experience with DEWA, Dubai Municipality, and other UAE authorities' portals. UAE driving license (optional but advantageous).
