Position Overview
The Architect role at AECOM Dubai supports the delivery of high-quality architectural design solutions across a range of building sectors. Working within a multidisciplinary design team, the Architect contributes to all project stages from concept through construction documentation, ensuring designs are functional, sustainable, code-compliant, and aligned with client objectives and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver architectural design and BIM modelling in line with project briefs, codes, and multidisciplinary coordination requirements
• Develop creative design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, sustainability, and buildability
• Support management of project phases including feasibility studies, concept design, design development, and construction documentation under senior guidance
• Coordinate closely with structural, MEP, infrastructure, and urban planning teams to deliver integrated design outcomes
• Prepare schematic designs, detailed drawings, and technical documentation using Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, and related tools
• Oversee preparation and coordination of construction documentation and detailed architectural drawings
• Act as Design Originator by checking drawings, reports, and specifications for compliance with regulations, briefs, and industry standards
• Assist in resolving design and BIM coordination issues in collaboration with project teams
• Prepare design presentations, reports, sketches, diagrams, and working drawings for internal and client reviews
• Contribute to responses for authority comments, third-party reviews, tender queries, and contractor RFIs
• Apply architectural knowledge to design and documentation tasks while escalating complex issues appropriately
• Complete moderately complex assignments independently while meeting quality, cost, and schedule requirements
• Demonstrate strong design and technical rigour through self-checks, continuous learning, and process improvement

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification
• RIBA Part 2 or equivalent professional accreditation
• Approximately four to five years of professional architectural experience
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in BIM and architectural design software including Revit and AutoCAD
• Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative mindset
