Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Architect / Designer to join a growing team. The successful candidate will play a central role in conceptualizing, designing, and delivering projects across their portfolio of community hubs, food truck parks, cafes, retail units, and outdoor communities. The role requires expertise in public event renderings, commercial retail design, indoor and outdoor environments, and landscaping.
This is a hands-on role where design creativity meets execution. You will be responsible for transforming concepts into practical, visually compelling designs that meet standards and brand identity while complying with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Concept Development & Design

• Create architectural designs, renderings, and layouts for cafes, retail units, food parks, and public spaces.
• Develop large-scale public event renderings and spatial configurations to optimize traffic flow and guest experience.
• Prepare landscaping designs for outdoor communal areas, ensuring functionality and aesthetic appeal.
• Technical & Execution Support

• Oversee preparation of detailed drawings, technical packages, and BOQs.
• Ensure designs are compliant with Abu Dhabi Municipality, DMT, and other UAE authority requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers during fit-out and construction.
• Innovation & Tools

• Utilize advanced AI-powered design tools and visualization software to create photorealistic renderings, simulations, and layouts.
• Lead innovation in design efficiency by leveraging digital and AI-driven platforms for space optimization and presentation.
• Collaboration

• Work closely with the property development and operations teams to ensure seamless alignment between design intent and operational needs.
• Present concepts and proposals to internal leadership, shareholders, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
• Licensing: Must be a licensed architect/designer eligible to practice in Abu Dhabi.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in architecture and design within the UAE.
• Proven portfolio in public event design, cafe/restaurant interiors, commercial retail units, and outdoor landscaping.
• Demonstrated ability to design for both functionality and customer experience.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in AI-driven design and rendering tools (e.g., MidJourney, Stable Diffusion for architecture, or similar).
• Knowledge of UAE building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes.

Soft Skills:

• Strong creative vision with practical execution ability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight timelines.
