Position Overview
As a
Waiter
at Como Lounge Cafe, you are more than a server -- you are a vital part of a dynamic team that values teamwork, adaptability, and hospitality. While your primary responsibility is delivering outstanding service to guests, you are also expected to
step into any role
when needed -- including runner, service crew, takeaway handler, or support roles -- ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations across the cafe.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service:
Welcome guests with genuine warmth, present menus, take orders accurately, and provide attentive table service.
Order Management:
Communicate guest orders clearly to the kitchen and bar, monitor order progress, and ensure timely delivery.
Upselling:
Recommend menu items, daily specials, and add-ons to enhance the guest experience.
Versatile Role Support:
Willingly assist in other operational areas such as:
Food running and clearing tables
Takeaway counter service
Assisting baristas or kitchen staff when needed
Supporting the cashier in peak times
Cleanliness:
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at all tables and service areas throughout the shift.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with colleagues, including supervisors, kitchen, bar, and takeaway teams to ensure smooth flow of service.
Guest Satisfaction:
Handle guest feedback with professionalism and resolve minor complaints promptly.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a waiter or in a customer service role is preferred.
Willingness to be trained and rotated into multiple roles as needed.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and carry food trays.
A positive attitude, flexibility, and high level of professionalism.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during peak hours.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
