Job Summary Arabic translator/trainer will operate as part of a multi-cultural team located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position requires experience building realistic training environments through scalable scenarios, performing training oversight and assessment, and performing training support services. The Arabic Translator/Trainer must have experience planning and conducting training seminars as well as planning and conducting simulation-based, training exercises and leading After Action Reviews. The Arabic Translator/Trainer will work as part of a multi-faceted team and act in coordination with English Trainers, translating English into Arabic to facilitate training as well as interpreting documents written in English to Arabic and from Arabic to English. The Translator/Trainer must be fully capable of functioning semi-independently and in a multi-cultural team environment. Essential Functions

Translation of all documents as requested from English to Arabic and from Arabic to English
Collaborate closely with the primary English Trainer in the development of training seminars and tactical scenarios
Research specialized terminology for translate into Arabic assuring proper conversion of meaning and concept of original English text
Read through original English material and translate it into Arabic Language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained
Use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses, glossaries and reference books to find the closest Arabic equivalents for English defense terminology and phrases
Liaise and communicate with the training audience to discuss any training related content requiring clarification
Proofread and edit final translated Arabic training products to ensure alignment with the original English text
Meet or exceed all assigned translation deadlines
Exhibit culturally appropriate interpersonal and negotiation skills

Required Qualifications

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Translation
Minimum 3-5 years of translation experience in the UAE, KSA, Kuwait, or similar Gulf country
Valid Passport (at least 6 months from expiration)
Must pass all security checks
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Advanced Communication and Relationship Management Skills
Self-Motivated and adaptive worker capable of working in a multi-cultural team environment

Strongly Desired Qualifications and Professional Experiences

Arabic: Excellent Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening
Advanced English: Excellent Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening
Computer Literacy: Adobe, MS Office
Experience drafting and finalizing technical and non-technical Arabic publications
Five or more years\xe2\x80\x99 experience designing, developing and executing multi-echelon, simulation-based training exercises
Served as an observer-controller or observer-trainer in a military training center
