We are looking to appoint an outstanding Arabic A Coordinator to join GEMS Wellington. The Coordinator will work alongside the Head of Department to ensure that all students receive an appropriate educational experience within their subject area. The line manager for the Coordinators is the Head of Department. The responsibilities below are shared with the Head of Department. In addition, some of the specific responsibilities outlined on the Head of Department will, by negotiation, be directly delegated to this post holder. Person

The successful applicant will have the following:
- A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent
- A specific qualification relating to the teaching of Arabic for native speakers only in Arabic literature only.
- The desire to provide Outstanding teaching and learning
- Aspiration to work in a world-class school with real prospects for enhancing their career
At least 3 years of post-qualifying experience in primary, secondary and GCSE. - English language good level in reading and writing.
- Leading curriculum Arabic as first language primary and secondary for at least 2 years.
- To raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole curriculum area and to monitor and support student progress
- To be accountable for student progress and development of Arabic A students across KS2,KS3, KS4 and KS5.
- To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying Arabic A, in accordance with the aims of the School and the curriculum policies determined by the MOE.
- To be accountable for leading, managing and developing Arabic A curriculum.
- Establish clear targets for achievement in the subject and evaluate progress through the use of appropriate assessments and records and regular yearly analysis of this data
- Take on any additional responsibilities which might from time to time be reasonably determined.
