Key Responsibilities

• Perform a broad spectrum of elective and emergency general surgical procedures
• Assess patients, establish accurate diagnoses, and design evidence-based surgical treatment plans
• Lead preoperative evaluations and oversee postoperative care in coordination with nursing and allied health teams
• Participate in surgical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure full compliance with DOH regulations, patient safety standards, and hospital clinical governance policies
• Mentor junior surgeons, residents, and medical staff while contributing to continuing medical education programs
• Maintain accurate, detailed clinical documentation using hospital information systems

Ideal Profile

• MBBS or equivalent qualification with completed specialty training in General Surgery
• Recognized board certification such as UK CCT, American Board, Arab Board, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialty experience with consultant-level responsibilities
• Fluency in Arabic and English for effective patient communication
• Eligible for Department of Health Abu Dhabi Consultant licensure
• Demonstrated excellence in surgical decision-making and patient-centered care
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work within multicultural teams
