Job Description

As an Arabic Social Studies Teacher at Diyar Schools, you will play a vital role in nurturing students' understanding and appreciation of Arab history, geography, culture, and civic identity. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in Arabic, using local and regional contexts to foster critical thinking, inquiry, and national identity.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality of Learning:

Plan and deliver engaging Arabic Social Studies lessons that build students' knowledge of Arab heritage, history, geography, and society. Use assessment data to tailor instruction, differentiate learning, and monitor student progress.

Conditions for Learning:

Create a respectful, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports exploration of Arabic and Islamic cultural concepts. Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the Arabic Social Studies curriculum across grade levels.

Developing Learning:

Provide timely, constructive feedback and support student reflection on learning. Foster a growth mindset and celebrate students' academic and personal growth.

Evaluating Learning:

Use formative and summative assessment strategies to measure students' understanding of Arabic Social Studies topics. Analyze data to inform instructional practices and provide targeted support.

Professional Development:

Stay informed about best practices in Arabic Social Studies education and curriculum standards (including MOE). Actively participate in professional learning communities and contribute to curriculum development.

Performance Indicators:

High levels of student engagement and interest in Arabic Social Studies Demonstrated student progress and achievement in Arabic Social Studies Adherence to MOE standards and school policies Positive relationships with students, staff, and parents Active contribution to school and departmental improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

MOE Approval

Bachelor's degree in Arabic Social Studies, History, Geography, or a related field (Postgraduate qualification preferred) Strong understanding of Arab history, geography, national identity, and curriculum standards Experience with inquiry-based learning and student-centered teaching strategies Excellent communication skills in Arabic and strong interpersonal abilities Commitment to ongoing professional development
