This position located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia is responsible for assisting the Operations & Maintenace Director in developing regional plant support strategies and managing regional resources that provide engineering and technical support activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the APQ Industrial Gas facilities to meet the business objectives. Travel required to maintain adequate contact with the various operating organizations is 40-60%. NATURE AND SCOPE This position reports functionally to the APQ Operations & Maintenance Director. The position works closely with regional line management and business managers, providing asssisitnce to the Operations & Maintenance Director, to provide input on various operating and maintenance issues in support of maintaining efficient, well run operating plants that supply products to meet customer expectations. The Operations & Maintenance Deputy Director engages day do to with the Operations Leadership, assureing a positive team-oriented culture by providing a focus on organizational development, job enrichment processes, communication programs, teambuilding/empowerment processes, training programs, diversity in the workplace and opportunities for cross fertilization across various company areas. A primary responsibility of the position is the safety of all operations personnel. The position teaches and assists in implementation of Air Products Qudra safety policies/procedures, facilitates safety improvement plans, participates in safety audits, and in general helps to build the APQ safety culture in the Middle East.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES . The Operations & Maintenance Deputy Director will assist the Operations & Mainantence Director in the following areas: o Administer EH&S compliance to ensure the protection of personnel, the community, and the environment through proper application of regulatory codes and internal Air Products Middle East standards o Ensure proper execution and compliance of Process Safety systems for the Middle East facilities. o Ensure resources, tools and procedures employed by Engineering teams are regionally appropriate and globally consistent o Ensure Engineering teams are technically qualified, properly focused and accountable to meet business needs. o Ensure the appropriate application of Advanced Controls resources and tools to meet business needs o Develop appropriate asset, platform and tool obsolescence strategic plans and provide guidance to business leadership o Ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous operation and maintenance of the facilities and operations' and run elements of the supply chain by prioritizing engineering and technical support elements consistent with business needs o Maintain outstanding customer relations by providing technically complete and insightful support to business inquiries as well as event response o Provide appropriate relevant technical feedback to support business development, both in product development as well as asset acquisitions. o Ensure excellence in performance and continuity of management through the effective selection, development, and motivation of a team of managers organized to optimize individual and group capabilities. o Establish effective asset management programs to drive productivity in business profitability. o Ensure the proper procedures and processes are in place to provide proper materials management support for provisioning, plant support and warehousing elements o Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as corporate policy covering the operations. o In conjunction with process and supply chain core teams, establish work processes aligned with the primary goals of the corporation. o Provide leadership to effectively identify and promote practical best practices and work processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS . Engineering degree (e.g. Chemical or Mechanical) . Minimum 20 years' experience in the petrochemical, gas processing industry at large sites . Demonstrated experience in a similar scale role, leading large cross-functional technical teams, at a large site e.g. refinery, chemical complex, gas processing plant etc. . Demonstrated track record of effective development, evaluation and implementation of solutions to complex problems in an onsite operations environment . Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation and leadership techniques . Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization, across functional and reporting relationships, and a strong grasp of all the key disciplines is required . Experience in a start-up environment, or through the sale of an asset . Excellent communication and influencing skills are a major requirement . Able to handle high-level communication with customer and internal/external stakeholders on engineering and technical matters . Fluent oral English and excellent written English
