+ Prepare, review, and approve detailed lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements for all lifting activities.
+ Select appropriate lifting equipment and accessories for each operation based on load characteristics and site conditions.
+ Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of lifting operations.
Compliance & Safety Assurance
+ Ensure all lifting operations comply with local regulations (e.g., LOLER, PUWER) and company HSE requirements.
+ Conduct pre-lift meetings, toolbox talks, and ensure all personnel involved understand their roles and responsibilities.
+ Inspect lifting equipment and accessories, ensuring they have valid certifications and are fit for purpose.
Documentation & Reporting
+ Maintain accurate records of lifting plans, permits, equipment inspections, and personnel certifications.
+ Report incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, and participate in investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Training & Competency Management
+ Verify the competency and qualifications of all personnel involved in lifting operations.
+ Provide guidance, mentoring, and on-site training to improve lifting safety culture.
Continuous Improvement
+ Monitor lifting operations to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
+ Stay updated with industry standards, new technology, and safe lifting techniques. Certification as an Appointed Person for Lifting Operations is Mandatory & LEEA(preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in planning and supervising lifting operations in construction, oil & gas, or heavy industry.
Must have experience in ADNOC projects.(ADNOC APPROVAL will be an advantage)
