Job Description
Bespin Global is looking to hire an Application Engineer to join the MIS team, who will be responsible for developing functionality within the core applications used by the company, to solve business problems using technology and automate internal business processes. You should be technically minded and passionate about maximizing efficiencies using automation. Key responsibilities:
- Build custom functionality within Jira such as automation workflows, service catalogs, and reports and dashboards, to support internal- and external-facing business units
- Maintain and improve existing functionality within Jira
- Provide technical input and support for other business systems as required
- Support the design and implementation of integrations between Jira and other core business systems such as Salesforce and FinancialForce
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies for Jira data
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level system support to company employees for relevant systems and tools
- Work with the MIS team and other business units to automate internal company processes and tools
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- / MSc. in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven 2-3 years of work experience in a Jira development or admin role
- Working knowledge of at least one scripting/programming language,g., Python, NodeJS, Ruby or similar.
- Knowledge of REST APIs.
- Knowledge of identity and access management.
- Development/Architect experience of Microsoft products (M365/SharePoint/PowerBI etc) a bonus
- Strong technical mindset, with the ability to pick up and understand new systems and technologies quickly.
- Knowledge of IT governance and project management methodologies.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
