Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Application Architect
to design, implement, and optimize application architectures, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and alignment with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern application frameworks, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture Development:
Develop and maintain scalable, secure application architecture frameworks, including SOA and Microservices.
Application Optimization:
Re-engineer existing applications for performance, security, and usability enhancements.
Integration:
Collaborate with infrastructure and data architects, developing APIs and middleware for seamless system interoperability.
Governance:
Establish application development standards, conduct architecture reviews, and ensure alignment with enterprise strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Emerging Technologies:
Stay updated with industry trends and recommend innovative technologies.
Documentation & Mentorship:
Create detailed documentation and provide technical guidance to teams.
Skills & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in application architecture, including SOA, Microservices, and cloud platforms.
Certifications:
TOGAF is highly desirable; MS Azure, DAMA, or related certifications are a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in modern programming languages, enterprise platforms, API design, and cloud technologies.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
Tools & Methodologies:
Experience with EA tools (e.g., Orbus iServer, Sparx EA), Agile, DevOps, and ITIL frameworks.
Language:
English proficiency required; Arabic is a plus.
Qatar Knowledge:
Familiarity with Qatar Enterprise Architecture (GEA) and local market experience is advantageous.
Operating Environment:
The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in external stakeholder meetings, and working in fast-paced environments.
