Looking for a

Senior Appian Consultant

, who will work closely with Corporate Finance teams. Primary goals will be to design, build, and maintain scalable low-code applications that streamline business processes using the Appian platform. Ensures the delivery of efficient, secure, and user-friendly solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities Requirement Analysis: Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and map the requirements into functional and technical requirements. Design and Develop Applications: Build end-to-end secure, modular, scalable business applications using the Appian Low-Code Automation Platform. Process Modelling: Create and optimize Appian process models to implement business workflows. UI Development: Design and implement user interfaces using Appian's SAIL (Self-Assembling Interface Layer) framework. Integration: Develop and manage integration with internal and external systems via REST/SOAP web services, databases, or third-party APIs. Database Design: Model and manage relational data structures in Appian. Best Practices: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the Appian platform, advising on best practices, performance optimization, and enterprise integration strategies. Define and enforce Appian development standards, code quality guidelines, and documentation protocols. Define, articulate, and evolve the technical architecture for Appian-based enterprise solutions. Technical Implementation & Support Custom Plug-ins: Develop or extend Appian plugins when out-of-the-box features are insufficient. Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance performance of Appian applications. Debugging and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues, including performance bottlenecks and bugs. Testing: Develop test plans and conduct unit/integration testing for Appian solutions. Collaboration & Documentation Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, including solution architecture, configuration, and deployment procedures. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Azure DevOps, QA, and other development teams in an Agile environment. Deployment: Support deployment activities across environments using Appian Deployment Manager or CI/CD pipelines. Compliance & Best Practices Governance and Security: Ensure applications comply with enterprise governance models and security policies. Version Control: Use tools like Azure DevOps or Appian's in-built version management features to manage source code. Deployment: Assist with deployments across environments using Appian Deployment Automation Manager or CI/CD pipelines.
Carry out other similar or related duties as assigned by Line Manager.

Requirements Education:

Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related field (mandatory). Preferably L2/L3 Appian certified analyst or developer.

Experience:

Minimum 3-8 years of proven experience in Business Process Management (BPM), particularly within enterprise environments utilizing Appian platforms. Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

Technical Expertise:

Practical knowledge and experience in designing and implementing processes within Appian using both Analyst and Designer views, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards. Proven experience in designing and developing intuitive and responsive user interfaces utilizing Appian's SAIL (Self-Assembling Interface Layer) technology to create dynamic forms and adaptive layouts. Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with Appian Smart Services, integrating them effectively into workflow automation solutions to enhance process efficiency and accuracy. Strong knowledge of Appian Tempo Interface, including customizing dashboards, reporting, user interfaces, and optimizing user experiences. Demonstrated capability in designing comprehensive business solutions that clearly articulate and deliver tangible business benefits, efficiency improvements, and productivity enhancements. Solid experience working within Agile project environments, familiarity with methodologies such as Scrum, and participation in sprint cycles, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions. Proven track record of collaborating closely and effectively with key business stakeholders, translating their requirements into actionable development tasks. Extensive experience in scenario-based requirements gathering, using structured approaches to capture detailed functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders. Demonstrable involvement in the end-to-end lifecycle, including the design, testing, deployment, and support phases of complex systems, ideally within global or multinational organizations. Solid experience in understanding, documenting, and analysing business processes to identify improvement opportunities. Expertise in documenting detailed business requirements clearly and concisely to facilitate effective development and testing activities. Proficient in creating detailed functional requirement specifications that precisely outline system functionalities and user interactions. Capable of actively contributing to the development and refinement of both current and target operating models, ensuring smooth transition and adoption. Ability to plan, facilitate, and lead interactive workshops with key stakeholders to validate requirements, obtain buy-in, and ensure clarity on system capabilities and expectations. Skilled at translating high-level business ideas and strategic objectives into practical, actionable tasks and deliverables for the development team. Design and architecture experience focused on building robust business workflow automation solutions and implementing business rules engines, ensuring adherence to enterprise-level architectural standards and best practices.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
