Key Responsibilities Production & Process Control
Lead and supervise daily
anodizing operations
(pre-treatment, anodizing, coloring, sealing, and finishing)
Ensure anodizing parameters (current density, temperature, bath chemistry, time) meet quality standards
Monitor production output, yield, and cycle times to achieve production targets
Optimize processes to reduce defects, rework, and chemical consumption
Quality Assurance
Ensure anodized products meet
customer specifications and international standards
(e.g., MIL-A-8625, ISO, QUALANOD - if applicable)
Analyze and resolve quality issues such as color variation, burning, pitting, streaking, or poor sealing
Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, testing, and corrective actions
Team Leadership & Training
Supervise and develop anodizing operators, technicians, and shift supervisors
Assign manpower, manage shift schedules, and evaluate team performance
Provide technical training on anodizing processes, safety, and best practices
Equipment & Maintenance
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of anodizing tanks, rectifiers, chillers, filtration systems, and cranes
Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or process upgrades
Safety, Environment & Compliance
Enforce
HSE standards
related to chemical handling, waste treatment, and PPE usage
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and waste disposal procedures
Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
Implement
Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives
Track KPIs such as productivity, rejection rate, downtime, and chemical consumption
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports
Support cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects
Requirements Education
Bachelor's degree in
Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field
Experience
7-10 years of experience in
aluminum anodizing operations
Minimum 3-5 years in a
supervisory or section head role
Technical Skills
In-depth knowledge of
sulfuric acid anodizing
, hard anodizing, coloring, and sealing processes
Strong understanding of bath chemistry control and analysis
Experience with aluminum alloys and surface finish requirements
Familiarity with international anodizing standards
Ability to troubleshoot complex anodizing defects
