Job Description
The
Animal Keeper
will be responsible for ensuring the health, hygiene, and welfare of animals under their care by maintaining clean and safe environments. They will report to their immediate Supervisor and operate according to company policies and standard operating procedures.Animal Care and Monitoring:
Ensure animals are clean, well-groomed, and maintain a fresh-smelling environment. Observe and record any unusual conditions, abnormal behaviors, or signs of illness in animals. Report signs of illness, disease, injury, or unusual activities to technicians or veterinarians for further action.
Shelter Maintenance:
Clean and sanitize animal quarters, including farms, runs, and related areas, as per the cleaning checklist and routine cleaning schedule. Follow established shelter procedures to maintain hygiene and safety.
Compliance and Reporting:
Adhere to all protocols and policies related to animal care and welfare. Maintain accurate records of cleaning and sanitation activities, and report any deviations to the Supervisor.
Additional Duties:
Assist with any additional tasks or responsibilities deemed appropriate by the Manager.
