Meta is looking for a Policy Programs Manager to work with the Africa, Middle East and Turkey (AMET) Policy Programs team. As part of Meta’s AMET Public Policy organization, the Policy Programs team is responsible for designing and executing regional programs that capitalize on Meta’s platforms, products and reach to promote positive social and economic outcomes, while supporting an enabling policy environment.We are looking for a candidate who can help drive initiatives in our economic impact and innovation pillars for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. This includes our programs in support of startups, small businesses, skills development and creative economies as well as our work on innovation and emerging technologies. The role will report to the Head of Policy Programs for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. This full-time role can be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates or London, United Kingdom.
AMET Policy Program Manager Responsibilities:
Design and develop programs in support of Meta’s priorities and objectives, and identify relevant partners to work with for the development and delivery of programs
Manage and execute economic impact and innovation programs across the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. This may include a mix of research, capacity building programs, competitions and grant programs and more
Manage the relationship with delivery partners to ensure quality execution and reporting
Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, such as Policy, Communications, Marketing, and Partnerships
Help build, manage & maintain meaningful partnerships with economic impact and tech innovation policy influencers and organizations across the region
Help to develop annual strategies for each pillar, designed to unlock and promote the positive impact of Meta’s platforms and products
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience working with local and international partners
Superior written and oral communications skills
Minimum 6 years working on project/program management with a focus on entrepreneurship, digitization and/or innovation in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey
Experience in managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Fluency in English and Turkish
Ability to travel frequently across the region
Ability to think, plan and execute resourcefully and creatively, with high attention to detail. Well organized and structured in planning and execution
Experience working collaboratively across teams or organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing multi-country, multicultural, or multi-lingual projects
Experience in strategy development and design
Fluency in Arabic
