Their primary duties and responsibilities include:
Reading and interpreting blueprints or specifications to understand the layout and requirements of the job
Measuring and marking dimensions and reference lines on construction materials, using rulers, squares, or calipers
Cutting and shaping aluminum frames to specified sizes and shapes
Assembling and installing aluminum window and door frames in accordance with building codes and safety regulations
Inspecting frames and structures for accuracy, alignment, and fit to ensure conformance to blueprints and building codes
Securing frames in place by using hand and power tools
Adjusting, repairing, and replacing defective parts of frames and structures
Communicating with clients, architects, and contractors to understand and meet their specific needs
Performing maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating tools and equipment
Adhering to safety protocols and workplace policies
