A Teacher/tutor is required to teach designated subject(s) to students, within certain grade(s), in line with the teaching and learning processes of the school. The teacher should have both knowledge and passion in the field of teaching and learning with understanding the importance of the school’s internal and external administrative and quality assurance requirements and be able to work with stakeholders actively to achieve the school’s vision.
Bachelor degree in relevant teaching subject is mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities
Plans and prepares class lesson and activities.
Punctual in general, and arrives in the classroom prior to start of each session.
Delivers the subject lessons as per the stated lesson objectives.
Motivates and supports students and respects their individual differences.
Teaches according to the student’s educational level and individual needs.
Monitors individual student’s progress.
Assesses the students with fairness and according to the marking criteria.
Uses effective and variety of teaching methods.
Responsible for the management and orderliness of the class.
Reports the students’ attendance and misbehaviors to the counsellors.
Records the students’ development, progress and attainment reports and reports them to the Head of Department.
Collects the students’ exam results and submits them to the Head of Department.
Handles student complaints and concerns in consultation with the Head of Department.
Attends open-day to discuss with parents the progress of the student.
Participate in meetings/committees/working groups/workshops, as and when required.
Carries out class observations for other tutors on instruction from supervisor.
Consults with the HoD on class activities/lesson plans/schedule/assessments.
Adheres to the school’s regulations, policies and procedures.
Facilitates the stakeholder evaluation processes (surveys).
Assists with the preparation of the Self-evaluation review report for the QQA.
Assists with external reviews and monitoring processes.
Perform any other duties related to the job as and when reasonably required. (For e.g. – Invigilating examinations, attending courtyard duties etc.)
Assists the Head of Department with the identification and procurement of resources/facility requirements for the department.
