Perform surface preparation such as cleaning, masking, and abrasive blasting (as required) before painting.
Operate and maintain airless spray painting machines, hoses, guns, and related equipment.
Apply primers, intermediate, and finish coats using airless spray techniques as per manufacturer's recommendations.
Measure and monitor WFT/DFT to meet project and client specifications.
Ensure uniform coating, proper overlap, and defect-free application.
Conduct touch-ups, rework, and corrective actions based on inspection findings.
Follow safety procedures including PPE usage, ventilation requirements, and handling of flammable materials.
Perform equipment troubleshooting, cleaning of guns, filters, and pumps to avoid downtime.
Maintain records of materials used, surface preparation details, and daily work progress.
Coordinate with site supervisors, QC inspectors, and team members to complete tasks on schedule.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in airless spray painting for industrial, marine, oil & gas, or construction sectors.
Strong knowledge of coating systems such as epoxy, polyurethane, zinc primers, and tank linings.
Ability to interpret technical data sheets (TDS) and follow manufacturer guidelines.
Familiarity with surface preparation standards (ISO 8501, SSPC, NACE).
Good understanding of safety practices, confined space rules, and hazardous material handling.
Physically fit and able to work at heights, scaffolds, and confined spaces.
