Aircraft Technical Services Engineer - Business Aviation - DC Aviation Al-Futtaim - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Aircraft Technical Services Engineer is a senior technical role within DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, supporting continued airworthiness, maintenance control, and technical reliability of a business aviation fleet operating from Dubai. Based at Al Maktoum International Airport, this role works closely with Maintrol, CAMO, Quality, Safety, and Flight Operations to ensure regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and safe aircraft performance in line with UAE GCAA and OEM standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Maintrol in daily management and resolution of aircraft technical defects, ensuring corrective actions are identified and implemented
• Monitor, assess, process, and track Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and OEM Service Information through the maintenance information system
• Define, implement, and administer reliability programmes for applicable aircraft types
• Assess technical impact of repairs, modifications, and changes on weight and balance, documentation, and procedures
• Review, process, and archive engine trend analysis reports
• Perform defect analysis for repetitive and significant technical defects
• Conduct repair analysis ensuring correct technical data usage and certification paths in line with registry and type certificate requirements
• Assist in preparation and updating of approved Aircraft Maintenance Programmes for each aircraft configuration
• Provide technical support to flight crew for away-from-base maintenance coordination when required
• Support pre-input meetings with contracted AMOs for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
• Provide oversight for maintenance performed by contracted AMOs
• Assist Director Flight Operations with MEL preparation and updates
• Support Quality and Safety departments in investigations, MOC activities, and CAMO-related technical matters
• Liaise with OEMs on technical and administrative issues
• Support fleet induction, ARC activities, export, and phase-out processes
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the Director Maintenance within scope of competence

Ideal Profile

• Minimum 8 years experience in Technical Services, Maintenance Control Centre, or Certifying Technician or Engineer role
• Experience on at least two of the following OEM platforms: Airbus, Bombardier, Dassault, Hawker
• Valid B1 or B2 aircraft maintenance license or degree in Aircraft Systems Engineering
• Proven experience in reliability programme management and modification analysis
• Strong background in MEL preparation and maintenance control operations
• Experience with STC embodiment, major modifications, and technical project management
• Type training Level III on one or more of the following is highly preferred: Bombardier Global Express, Challenger series, Dassault Falcon 7X or 6X, Airbus A320 ACJ, Gulfstream, B737 BBJ
• High-level reporting, documentation, and technical presentation skills
• Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced, operational environment
• Strong team player with ability to assume individual responsibility when required
