Aircraft Corrosion Control Technician Grade: 8 Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Carrying out surface finish restoration maintenance activities; Carrying out other shop duties as directed; Raising TPRFs against approved data; Assist with raising TQs for any aircraft component related anomalies; Support the work centre Supervisor in ensuring shift handovers are accurate; Adhering to tool control procedures; Adhering to the use of only approved data; Carrying out good husbandry practices; Maintain accurate log books for the assigned RSAF technician. Liaise with RSAF and PC management in order to identify any training opportunities or to highlight any potential training shortfalls. Support the production of weekly & monthly progress reports to identify training progression. Assist the training co-ordinator by providing additional training and supervision to RSAF and PC personnel as required. Providing standby cover as directed in support of Sqn operations Deputise for the work centre trade supervisor during periods of leave or absence. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Essential: Qualified to National civilian / military equivalent recognised aircraft maintenance traineeship / apprenticeship - Corrosion Control/Paint OR HNC Level in Engineering or equivalent. Qualification practical aircraft maintenance experience OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP). Have equipment specific training and relevant type training if required. Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering. Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.

Desirable: Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge. An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
