An AI/BI Developer is a professional who designs, develops, and supports the company's business intelligence solutions, which often involves creating client-facing reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI and AI agents. This role requires technical skills in data visualization and a client-facing ability to gather requirements, provide support, and offer AI/BI consulting and training services to clients.
Core responsibilities
Client-facing development: Design and create custom Power BI reports and dashboards for clients as well as AI agents, gathering requirements and incorporating their feedback.
Subject matter expertise: Act as a subject matter expert for Procore's custom analytics and AI products.
Project management: Collaborate on and deliver statements of work for analytics projects.
Consulting and support: Provide BI consulting and training services to clients, as well as product support for analytics solutions.
How the role uses Procore's platform:
Procore's platform integrates data from various aspects of a construction project, including financials, schedules, and safety.
BI Developers leverage this unified data to create custom reports that can combine Procore and ERP data.
The role is crucial in helping clients transform their project data into actionable insights for better decision-making, automation, risk mitigation, and forecasting.
Required skills and qualifications
Technical skills: 2+ years of experience with a data visualization solution like Power BI. AI prompt engineering and building is a plus.
Experience with design, user experience (UX), and report design.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Soft skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in a client-facing role (at least 1 year).
Desired skills: Experience with accounting/financial data reporting.
Experience with Databricks or Delta Share.
Familiarity with REST-based APIs and integrations
