Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable

Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic

to join our aviation maintenance team. The AGE Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and operation of aerospace ground support equipment used to service aircraft. This includes equipment powered by diesel, gas turbine, and electric systems, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aerospace ground support equipment (GSE) including generators, air conditioners, hydraulic test stands, air compressors, and lighting systems. Maintain and service electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components on AGE units. Operate AGE equipment to perform functional tests and ensure proper operation. Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and technical manuals. Perform preventive maintenance, scheduled inspections, and corrective repairs on a variety of AGE units. Maintain records and documentation of maintenance performed, parts used, and time expended. Ensure all AGE equipment is clean, properly stored, and ready for immediate deployment. Adhere to safety and compliance standards in all maintenance activities. Support deployment readiness by preparing AGE units for transport and operation in field environments. Coordinate with aircraft maintenance teams to ensure timely availability of required AGE support.

Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical diploma or certification in mechanical/electrical systems preferred.

Experience:

Minimum

2 years

experience in maintenance and repair of ground support equipment. Military AGE background (e.g., USAF 2A6X2) preferred but not required.

Skills & Knowledge:

Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic principles. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Proficient with tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety procedures. Capable of working independently or as part of a maintenance crew.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. Work in varying weather conditions and confined spaces when required.
