THIS POSITION REQUIRES A UNITED STATES (US) NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT LICENSE. Certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/ormedical care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with a physician accordingto a standard care arrangement and specialty certification. Practice emphasizes health promotion,disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Currently seeking candidates in the following specialties: ICU Responsibilities Assess health status by obtaining relevant health and medical history. Performs a physical exam basedupon the age and patient history as per the Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician.Identifies significant health and medical risk factors. Orders, interprets and evaluates laboratory test andother diagnostic studies to assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Develops adiagnosis by analyzing and synthesizing collected data.In collaboration with the physician, develops atreatment plan along with the patient and significant others. Performs diagnostic or therapeuticinterventions consistent with certification, law and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi privileges. Develops patient education plan. Participates in medical team rounds; collaborates with nursing, medical and other healthcare team members regularly to ensure quality patient care. May perform admission history & physical, document progress notes, prepare discharge summaries as required. Assists with and facilitates discharge planning. Other duties as assigned. Requirements for NP: Fulfill the requirements of Registered Nurse and completion of a Clinical Master/ Doctoral degree in nursing from the United States (US) in:o Pharmacology for prescribing drugs as a nurse practitionero Differential diagnosis, ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests (radiological and pathological tests)o Advanced Health Assessment Two (2) years' experience post qualification as a Nurse Practitioner. OR Fulfill the requirements of Registered Nurse and National Certification or license as a Nurse Practitioner from the United States (US). Estimated Service Area This strategically located multi-specialty tertiary care facility with adjacent clinic houses five clinic floors, three diagnostic and treatment levels, and thirteen floors of critical and acute inpatient units totaling 364 beds (expandable to 490). Additional space has been incorporated for operational and support departments, retailers, a conference center, and a high-fidelity clinical simulation center. Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi hosts the latest technologies in surgery, imaging, telemedicine, and electronic medical records, integrating systems in a manner that is first of its kind in the country and the Middle East healthcare region.
