Job Description

Our client is a Dubai-based mental health and wellness clinic providing outpatient services to children, adults, couples, and families. They help with a wide range of mental health and wellbeing challenges - from personal issues such as depression, anxiety, chronic stress, and addictions, to interpersonal issues such as conflict at work and marriage difficulties.

Who you are
You are a helpful and approachable professional who will be responsible assessing patients through interviews, observations, tests, and medical history reviews.

Skills & Competencies:
  • A minimum of 12 years+ experience working post-qualification;
  • Specific training and experience working with Adult mental health most preferably in private practice and/or community or hospital outpatient settings;
  • Expert diagnostic skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication;
  • Western qualification preferre;
  • Dubai Health Authority (DHA) licensed;
  • Ability to provide client service in Arabic is a plus;
  • Accurate documentation skills;
  • Excellent in analyzing information;
  • Superior listening ability and emotional intelligence.

Education & Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine;
  • 4 years of psychiatric residency;
  • Board of Psychiatry certification and state license;
Description
As an Adult Psychiatrist in Dubai, you will play a crucial role in helping patients by evaluating their medical and psychosocial conditions and developing personalized treatment plans, which may include the prescription of psychotropic medications. You will closely monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, ensuring the highest level of care and support for patients. Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients through interviews, physical examinations, behavioral observations, and review of medical history and documents;
  • Administer and interpret psychological tests, order laboratory tests, and assess results to determine the nature and extent of cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders;
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, setting treatment goals and methodologies to address patients\' specific needs;
  • Utilize psychotherapeutic methods and prescribe medications to treat patients, closely monitoring their progress and adjusting treatment as needed;
  • Supervise and provide instructions to staff involved in patient care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.Collaborate with primary care physicians, mental health therapists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to maintain an interdisciplinary approach to patient treatment;
  • Enforce policies, procedures, standards, and legal regulations to ensure quality and safe services for patients and staff, participating in utilization reviews and emergency consultations;
  • Provide training and discussions to improve staff competence, covering topics such as psychosocial and physiological problems, crisis intervention, psychotropic medications, and related issues;
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patients\' symptoms, medications, treatment events, and progress;
  • Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and knowledge by participating in continuing medical education opportunities, reading professional publications, and engaging with professional organizations;
  • Demonstrate initiative and ownership in accomplishing new and different requests, actively seeking opportunities to add value to job accomplishments and enhance the reputation of the department and organization.
