The Media Communication Department at the College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support services to students and faculty and contribute to the smooth operation of the department on a daily basis ensuring the success of the degree program.
Job Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with Media Communication (MCM) students and help them understand academic rules/policies.
Coordinate student advising and registration.
Assist in scheduling classes and coordinating textbook orders.
Assist in managing and scheduling events, including printing of promotional materials and programs.
Handle phone inquiries and act as department help desk.
Enter requisitions and maintenance requests on the system.
Act as custodian of documents and records, including database and spreadsheet files.
Conduct research and compile and prepare statistical reports.
Perform other related administrative functions as necessary or as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required
Bachelor\'s degree in any related field.
Experience working in an administrative position.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Computer literate with high aptitude for technology
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Experience of delivering a high level of customer service
Experience in a higher education work environment is an advantage.
Arabic Language is an advantage.
UAE National preferred.
