(AUS) in the United Arab Emirates invites applications for an adjunct laboratory instructor position in biology for Spring Semester 2024 (January-May 2024). The successful candidate will be required to instruct general biology laboratory courses. As an American-accredited institution in the liberal arts tradition, we seek candidates with a passion for both teaching and research in any area of specialization to join . Candidates should also indicate any interests, qualifications or experiences related to program development.

Successful candidates will have a Master of Science in Biology or a closely related field. As a university formed on the American model, with English as the language of instruction, we give priority to candidates who have experience in North American models of higher education.

The successful candidate must have:

• a Master of Science in Biology (or closely related field)
• experience in teaching introductory biology laboratory courses

The successful candidate will preferably have:

The Department of Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Sciences offers bachelor of science degrees in biology, chemistry and environmental sciences, and minors in biology, environmental sciences and environmental policy. The department currently has 17 full-time faculty members and 10 full-time laboratory staff actively engaged in research within the three disciplines.
