is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable

Adjunct Faculty in Health & Wellbeing

to join the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. This role is ideal for an academic or practitioner with subject expertise in areas such as health psychology, sociology, wellbeing, counselling, or therapeutic approaches, and a commitment to excellence in teaching, student support, and applied learning.
You will contribute to the delivery and enhancement of undergraduate module.

Teaching for this module will run from 9 February to 27 March 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach and assess module Psychological and Sociological theories of health and illness Provide academic and personaelised student support Contribute to broader academic, outreach, and community-based initiatives Participate in faculty meetings, quality assurance processes, and collaborative curriculum development

Desirable Areas of Expertise:

Health promotion Psychological wellbeing and mental health

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:

A

MSc.

/

PhD in a relevant field

(e.g., Health Psychology, Wellbeing, Counselling, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related discipline)
The highest qualification must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and hold UAE Ministry of Education equivalency.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience

in higher education or relevant academic/professional practice Proven or demonstrable potential to deliver high-quality teaching and academic support Familiarity with the

UK higher education system

and understanding of the cultural context of the UAE Experience in module design, and blended/online learning platforms (Desirable)

Skills & Attributes:

Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills Ability to foster an inclusive, student-centred teaching environment Competence in supervising student research and mentoring diverse learners Flexibility and willingness to contribute to university-wide initiatives and interdisciplinary collaborations
