The Role

We are seeking a

Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Adjunct Faculty)

in Data Analytics to provide high-quality teaching at postgraduate level. The role includes teaching the following modules:

Block 1 - CSIP5102D: Data Analytics Infrastructure (Data Warehouse Stream)

Duration: 6 weeks (starting 29th September 2025) Total: 30 hours (5 hours/week, 3 evenings per week) Time: 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM Required Software Knowledge: Oracle APEX, SQL, MySQL, Python

Block 2 - CSIP5203D: Big Data Applications

Duration: 6 weeks (starting 24th November 2025) Total: 60 hours (10 hours/week, 3 evenings per week) Time: 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM Required Software Knowledge: Hadoop, Apache Spark, CloudX, Python, Kaggle

Additional Responsibilities:

Assessment preparation, evaluations, invigilation, and external examiner document preparation Supporting students requiring additional assistance 2 compensated admin hours per week

Important Notes:

Total teaching load may be assigned to one adjunct faculty member or shared across multiple adjuncts depending on availability. This is an

hourly-paid adjunct faculty position

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications (Required):

PhD in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a closely related discipline All qualifications must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Education and accompanied by an Equivalency Certificate

Experience:

0-2 years of teaching or relevant industry experience for Lecturer roles Experience delivering applied lab-based sessions and academic assessments Familiarity with higher education systems (UK preferred), blended or digital teaching delivery Experience in curriculum development and module leadership (required for Senior Lecturer)

Skills & Attributes:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills Competency in delivering technical content using diverse tools and platforms Ability to teach and assess across a range of Data Analytics disciplines Commitment to student engagement, academic excellence, and ongoing professional development Team-oriented approach and leadership potential (Senior Lecturer)

Specialist Duties & Knowledge:

Proficiency in Data Analytics software & tools such as SAS EG/EM, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI, Oracle SQL, MySQL, Oracle APEX, Hadoop, Apache Spark, CloudX, Python, R Record of good research publications Experience in student support, recruitment, and community engagement

Desirable Criteria:

Industry experience with domain expertise Experience supporting projects, conferences, and journal publications Teaching excellence certification (e.g., Fellowship HEA)
